We were recently joined on the MSC Podcast by Lead Academy Scout at Preston North End FC, Darren Rhodes, to discuss building an elite level scouting report. Darren is also a current UCFB Student studying Talent Development and also shares his insight round talent identification and recruitment at youth level. The topic of data is also discussed during the interview, as well as ways that coaches can communicate tactical information more accurately and effectively even when data is not available. This conversation started a few weeks ago on LinkedIn, when Darren shared a professional report that he compiled for Blackburn Rovers versus Birmingham City. The report included line-ups, form guide, systems of play, and individuals to watch (see an example below).
