Training design prior to a game will always appear a little different than a traditional training session. The physical demands of the game dictates that the pre-game session is modified to suit specific loads and intensity. That can be somewhat of a challenge to a coach who may want to work on tactical reminders and have a psychological component to the session where players feel sharp and upbeat before a big game. In this week's MSC Breakdown, we take a look at Real Madrid's (match day -1) session prior to their Super Cup game versus Atalanta. In one hour, Carlo Ancelotti shows how to manage loads but still have an element of flow and purpose in the training session.
